Case Study: Online Gaming Website

This children’s media company sought to create a computer game for elementary school aged kids.

Strategy:

 

  • A two and a half year research commitment to the game from concept through launch.

  • Ongoing testing to assess comprehension, desire, stickiness, and intent to play.

  • National studies to explore differing opinions according to region.

  • Progression testing with kids on a weekly basis to understand appeal.


All aspects of the game explored from cooperative play to quests; tutorials to customization; leveling up to in-game communication; competition and cost.

Outcome: A nationally released MMO, featuring travel in a virtual world, quests, battle, seasonal specialties, customization, and a legend.
